Choose The Old Rectory for your Civil Ceremony, Civil Partnership or Renewal of Vows. Our award-winning Shropshire wedding venue hosts memorable occasions, and our experienced team ensures that your day is just how you imagined and planned.

Many of the ceremonies are held in our light and spacious Orangery overlooking the gardens at The Old Rectory and is licensed for 52 guests or you can choose our restaurant which is licensed for 80 guests.

Both rooms can be dressed exactly how you would like, with chair covers and coloured sashes to complement your colour scheme. As we only hold one civil ceremony or civil partnership each day, either room will be personalised just for you.

Weather permitting after the ceremony the gardens at The Old Rectory offer an excellent backdrop for photographs and your guests can enjoy canapés and drinks on the lawn or patio.

Once you have decided upon the date, you will need to contact the registry office directly to register the marriage and to book your date and time.

Your personal wedding co-ordinator will work with you to choose exactly what you want for your wedding day. The basic ingredients for your day include:

• An exclusive location with extensive grounds - providing the perfect setting for wedding photographs.

• Licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 80 guests.

• Wedding breakfast from 10 to 120 guests

• Evening reception for up to 200 guests

• We offer individually styled rooms including a bridal suite, wonderful food and the personal attention that your day deserves.

• Whether you want a small civil ceremony with just a few guests or you choose exclusive use of the hotel, we will take the time to make sure your wedding is tailor-made just for you.

• Individually styled rooms available to guests at a preferential rate.

• The option for a civil ceremony to take place at the hotel.

• A selection of menus to choose from, from canapés to personally selected banquets.
